We Love New York

Brian and I went to NYC with my parents the day before we came home to Idaho. Brian had never been there before so he spent most of the day staring up at all the sky scrapers. We took him to see his first broadway show,  "Mary Poppins". It was amazing! The seats were really small and cramped in the theatre, so Brian's 6'7 frame had difficulty lasting two hours with his knees crammed into his chest. But overall it was an awesome show!

St. Patricks Cathedral

This is the Manhattan Temple. It is right next to the Donald Trump building and Central Park. In the middle of the city, you just look up and there is angel Moroni. We walked into the temple just to look around, and all of a sudden we saw our Bishop from our Idaho ward. It is such a small world, especially being a member of the church.

Inside Central Park. It was a beautiful day in New York. Everyone was out in the park walking their dogs, playing frisby, and riding their bike's.
Had to a try a hot dog on the streets. Very tasty!!

So pretty. We didn't want to leave!

Phili Phili!

We went to Philadelphia a few weeks back to visit my parents and to have a belated wedding reception. Here are some of the pictures to show off our trip :) This first one is in China town. We went to dinner here after walking around the city all day.

This one is at the "Magic Garden".  There is a random artist who does mosaics all around the city. He uses crushed up dishes, glass, old bicycle tires, beer bottles....pretty much anything he can get his hands on to make art. It looks cooler in real life, but the picture does it some justice.

This sweet looking stair case was inside the Bourse.
Benjamin Franklin's grave site. Woo Hoo!
Philadelphia soft pretzels off the street are the best!!

Visiting the Liberty Bell... and some random kid next to us :) haha

The nuclear powerplant 2 miles from our house. Brian thought that this was the craziest thing   ever, so we had to document it.
