Room Confirmation...

So Brian and I are traveling to Washington this weekend for Nathans wedding. (Nathan is Brian's older brother). We considered staying at a hotel for fun but then realized saving the money would be much more practical. Brian's Grandparents graciously offered to let us stay at their house. They are so nice. And last night we received this email from grandpa...

"Your reservation for the GPA/GMA downstairs queen bed for June 26, 2:00 am arrival time is confirmed, with a 4 night reservation. The porch and stairs lights will be on. Please turn them off after you get settled.

GPA will probably stir around upstairs about 6:00am but will try not to disturb you. Sleep as late as you like. We will make some breakfast after we hear/see you up for the day.

Drive very carefully. Love Gpa"

Hahahahahaha. Gotta love grandparents, they are the best ever!!!

L.O.V.E

Okay, so blogspot has been acting up lately and will not let me upload pictures on here. Finally after 6 attempts I at least was able to post this one picture from Orchid's wedding this past weekend. Hopefully it will let me post more pictures soon because Orchid looked so beautiful and I want you all to be able to see her and how happy her and Alex look together! As for right now, this picture is of Bri and I at the luncheon right before Orchid and Alex were sealed :)

Mesa Falls

After getting back from camping, we drove up to Mesa Falls with Steven and Shanda. Mesa falls in on the way to Island Park. It was so pretty up there and the weather was perfect.

Happy Campers :)

We went camping for memorial day weekend with our friends Steven and Shanda. We brought tin foil dinners, lots of hot dogs, and enough chocolate, mallows, and grams for an army. Let's just say it was all gone by the time we went home. If you're wondering why I look so happy in this picture it's because I was freezing cold all night long. Next time we need to remember more blankets!!!

Brian and Steven warming up their delicious muffins in the morning. Why eat a muffin cold when you can eat it toasty warm?

We were rationing the wood we used for our fires because we had to buy the firewood. Next time we will prepare better and find free firewood.

Our First Garden

This is the start of our first ever garden! Nothing has come up yet but it is all planted at least. We planted lettuce, cabbage, peapods, cucumbers, carrots, peppers, squash, zuchini, tomotoes, beets, eggplant, and a couple watermelon.

There are two families in our ward who have donated the land and the water to us so we can have this garden. We are so happy that they would share this with us and we cant wait to see things start growing!!

We put 8 bags of manure on our garden before we started planting just to give our seeds lots of nutrients. Then after it was all planted we went back for one more bag of manure to sprinkle on top of it all. It was the ronchiest smelling manure i have ever smelt. It was so bad and we could smell it on our hands the rest of the day. Yuck!!! That stuff better make our plants grow.
