Visitors!

We promise to show you a good time if you come and visit us in Arkansas:)

Brian's sister Cora and her husband Gabe came for the weekend and we had a blast. 

We went out for sushi. The best I've ever had!

 

 We went shopping!

 And we dressed up as vampires for our ward Halloween party.

Not pictured is the gigantic pot of chili that Brian and Gabe made for the party, our nightly trip to the hot tub and sauna, and all the delicious food we ate. 

So like I said, come and visit and we promise to show you a great time:)

Messy

This boy LOVES to eat. And now that we finally have a high chair, meal times are so much better for everyone involved. Brekan wants to eat anything that Brian and I eat and he thinks it's hilarious if we let him drink out of our cup. 

I've tried putting the food on his tray so that he can feed himself, but then Brekan just shoves all the food into his mouth all at once. It's like he thinks we won't feed him again so he had to hoard it all. Ha. So then he can't even chew and swallow the food because his mouth is too full which then results in him just spitting it out. I have no idea if this is normal for a 9 month old.

So, now we just put one piece of food on his tray at a time or I just spoon feed him so I can control the amount he gets:) Even doing this, he still gets sooo messy. Good thing he's cute no matter how messy he gets.

BBQ Time

Sam's Club hosted the National BBQ Competition this past weekend.  Brian and I were excited to scope out the festivities. So we got Brekan all ready to go and even put some big boy shoes on his feet.

 We anticipated paying for a plate of food, but when we got there it was all free. All the stands had samples, so we tried a little bit of everything. New York Strip, Australian lamb, pulled pork, chicken wings, pork loin, sausage, and more. Everything was so good! They also had Joe Nicols there singing. Apparently he's from this area. If you like country music, then you should be jealous:) I love hearing live music and realizing the artist is as good live as they are on the radio.

 We had so much fun! Just another fun thing we've done here in Arkansas. We love it here and can't wait to have some visitors!

Vampire

Look at these fangs on our little vampire!! Tis the season I guess.

At 9 months, this little man 

• Pulls himself up everywhere
• Walks along all our furniture
• Likes to eat whatever mom and dad are eating
• Loves drinking water from our cup or water bottle
• Crawls like crazy
• Loves to play in the bathroom and pull the toilet paper roll
• Still loves taking walks
• Always enjoys a trip to walmart where he gets to sit in the grocery cart
• Tries to say mama and dada, but not quite there
