First Day

Just like when we were little...

I had to snap a shot of the Mr. going to his first MBA class

He's looking pretty professional with that briefcase, eh?

Just two more years...

Take a Hike

After living in Rexburg for 5 years, we finally hiked "R" mountain.
On the way up we saw a snake, but it ignored us luckily.
Then when we got to the top we found some rocks to climb.

So...our husbands look a little cooler. Ha.

You can see for miles at the top.

I think we will have to do this hike again and bring a lunch with us next time so we can have a picnic.

Pope Family Reunion 2010

Alright ladies and gentlemen....here are photos of the Pope Family Reunion 2010.

The first day was spent at Hill Air Force Base...but I didn't get any pictures from that. Day two was the big hike up to Mt. Timpanogas Caves.

Mom, Dad, Rich, and Joe at the bottom of the mountain.
Brian and I. I don't think we realized how far we had to go at this point.

Brian and my niece Libby. She would never let Brian touch her before we got married. Now they are buddies.
I'm still not sure if Grandpa dragged Joe up that mountain or if Joe dragged Grandpa up the mountain.

Finally in the cave!

It was like kinda like being in a Planet Earth episode.

After the hike Grandma tried her first corn dog! She didn't like it. Asher on the other hand...look at that amazing focus he has on the corn dog. "Give Me!"
After the hike we went to the Mayan for dinner. Mexican food and cliff divers made for some great entertainment.

The Whole Pope Clan at dinner.

Right as we were leaving the restaurant we watched one last show of the cliff divers. Joe got drenched when the girl dove right in front of him. haha. Notice his wet shorts.

Popes make pretty cute kids.

Day 3 was spent at Seven Peaks Water Park. Brian and my brothers had a lot of fun racing each other on the slides to see who could go the furthest. I enjoyed getting some sun and holding my cousins triplets. Yes, Triplets!

Day 4 we all went to my Grandma's house for our traditional lamb fry. I didn't get any pictures that day....so hopefully my Mom or Sister will email me those soon and I can get them posted on here.

We loved the time we were able to spend with my family. We had so much fun just hanging out, swimming, eating, hiking, playing, and talking. I wish we all lived closer to each other so we could do it more often.

Friday night we camped out at our Bishops Cabin and the next morning we went boating.
It was so beautiful up in the mountains.

We really enjoyed spending time with some other couples in our ward and getting to know everyone a little better.

We love a reason to celebrate

This past weekend was spent playing a round of golf, watching some X-games, decorating a cake, and celebrating a birthday! It was busy, super hot, and completely fun-filled.

So the only pictures that were taken were of the cake I made for our friend Linda. Her husband requested a "Zebra" themed cake for his sweet wife and this is what I came up with.

It turned out cute and tasted delicious! I made a fun-fetti cake from the box, but I added a cup of sour cream, 4 eggs, a cup of vegetable oil, a box of instant vanilla pudding, and a half cup of milk (per instructions from my friend Jenn's blog). It thickened this box cake up and made it taste so much better! If you like a cake that is more dense than the normal box mixes, you should try this next time.

Next week we head to Utah for a little vaca with the Pope clan. We are counting the days!
