Slowly but surely

It has taken us almost 3 months just to put up the few decorations in our little house. Who knew it would be so hard to pick things out? Brian begs me to go to the store and buy "stuff" to make our place feel more homey. But I'm so indecisive and cheap....

We are getting there.

All in all, we love our house. We still come home every single day and look at everything and say to ourselves, "Wow. This is so awesome. We love our home!"

What a great feeling it is to know you've made a good decision. Now if only Rexburg would warm up, we could live here forever.

New Ward, New Job, New House

We've been MIA the past few months here on the blog. But I am happy to report that we are still alive!

Back in January, when we returned from Christmas vacation, we started looking for a new place to live. We finally decided that since we will be in Rexburg for at least a few more years, we might as well buy a home. We found a place that we fell in love with, and we closed on it two weeks later! It is brand new, never lived in, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and perfect for us.

These pictures are from the day we moved in, Feb 1st. The snow has finally melted and you can see our yard now, and our house is decorated now......so I need to take some updated pictures.

Brian's favorite part of the house-----the garage and the yard
Jaclyn's favorite part of the house---the pantry and laundry machines!

Also in exciting news....I was hired by Marriott about a month ago and I am absolutely loving my job. The Marriott opened here about a year and a half ago and I kept going over there and telling them they should hire me. A year and a half later I got an email that they wanted to meet with me, and I was offered the job. My title is Sales Manager, which covers group sales like for large wedding groups, negotiating corporate rates with local businesses, and event planning and scheduling for our conference rooms.

Marriott is an amazing employer and the discount rooms aren't too bad either.

Life is busy, and great, and exciting, and we cannot wait for summer weather to get here so we can start having barbecues in our new back yard.

Past 2 Months in Pictures

In February we spent a weekend up at a cabin in Island Park. We loved going snowmobiling for the first time! The scenery was so picturesque and beautiful. Idaho really does have some redeeming qualities :)

In March I spent every weekend at baby and bridal showers. I made this cake for my friend Sienna's Bridal shower.

This picture is of Caden, Sarah and I at Caden's baby shower. We were all room mates back in 2006 and still love seeing each other and hanging out.
