I kissed a frog...

Happy 26th Birthday to My Sweet Husband

If only he would have passed his driving test to renew his license......then it would have been the perfect day.

Have you ever seen a Muskrat?

Friday night we went up to Island Park. Our friends Nate & Kate have a cabin up there (well their family has a cabin). We went all out by eating really yummy pizza, twizzlers, chips & salsa, and fruitie pebbles rice krispy treats. We also played games for a couple hours, including a new one called lie-ers dice. A bit confusing, but once we got the hang of it we really got hooked.

The next morning we woke up and drove over to our Bishops cabin. He had invited some people in the ward to come up for breakfast. We had a lot of fun visiting with friends, holding a cute baby, walking down to the lake, and playing more games.

Because we had so many left over pancakes from breakfast, we decided to drive over and feed some fish. I think the place we went to was called Big Springs. The water here was crystal clear and you could watch the fish swimming under the bridge. We were feeding them the pancakes when a Muskrat swam up. Have you ever seen one of these before? It was kinda cute. We would throw the food out to it and it would swim up, pick the food up in its little hands, and eat it while swimming away. Pretty entertaining to watch.
After feeding the fish, we went back to the cabin. Nate and Brian tinkered around in the garage and changed the oil on their lawn mower while Kate and I went out on a four wheeler. The four wheeler kept dieing on us, so we finally gave up and pushed it back to the cabin. Then we headed home and got ready for stake conference. Hopefully next time we go up to the cabin, we can stay a little longer. It was a great weekend. We just wish it would have lasted a little longer.
The end.

Over and Out

Pop Quiz
What have Brian and Jaclyn been up to lately?
a. studying
b. watching Heroes
c. buying food at Sam's Club
d. all of the above

If you guessed 'D' then you are correct! That was a toughie, I know. So a quick recap of why I haven't posted anything on my blog in a couple weeks. We have been a little busy folks!

Brian has been a busy bee studying.

Blockbuster was going out of business so we bought the first season of Heroes. We may or may not have watched the entire season in one week.

We went to the duck pond and fed the little duckies, and watched a bird fly out of the sky and dive down into lake and catch a fish. That was pretty cool.

Brian taught me how to play Farkle. New favorite game!

We went to Sam's Club and bought lots of fun food. Although the whole reason we went was to buy Edemame.......and of course they don't carry it any more. (costco is way better than Sam's) Don't you worry though, we still came out with lot's of other food to fill our bellies with.

I successfully finished converting all of my family's negative's to digital images. 1500 pictures later.....now I need to go through and photoshop them. And in honor of finishing them all I figured I'd give you all a little taste of the Pope's through the years. (Don't pay attention to the weird borders, I haven't cropped them or done anything to them yet)

This is probably like 1989...... Marlayne and I in matchie matchie dresses :)
Notice the Big Bangs! And matching outfits
Woah. Matching outfits again. Big Shocker.
Notice the.....jelly sandles on my feet, and the Teva's on Mike's feet.

Classic.
A little more recent. 2004? Marlayne looks like a model with that long hair!
Haha. Well now you've had a little glimpse of the Pope's throughout the years. Pretty funny stuff.

Over and Out...... until next time.
