Went on a safari and took a couple pictures.

Who knew we could go on a Safari in Northwest Arkansas?

 The animals were very friendly!

 The rules said "No Feeding the Animals". But the car in front of us went through about 5 loaves of bread. So they would feed the animals and then the animals expected food from us. But we are not rule-breakers.....so they were tough out of luck.

 Oh Hey!!!

 It ended up being 80  degrees out (on March 16th) so we stripped off Brekan's fleece pants and jacket.

 And then there were baby lion cubs!!! 

 And we got to hold them. BEST. DAY. EVER!!!!

4th move in 4 years of marriage:)

After being in Arkansas for about 5 months our house in Rexburg sold! Then after a couple weeks of house buying drama, we finally decided to buy a house here that is in the process of being built. We are about 5 weeks out from being finished. We are so excited to move in to our new home!

Yay for Grandparents!

My mom and dad came to visit us in February! We were so glad to have them come! They were here over Valentine's Day, which is both of our Anniversary's :) We celebrated with a nice dinner, cupcakes, and sparkling cider. 4 years for Brian and I, 37 years for my parents. Woah!

We were having such a good time, but then I got sick and just didn't have the energy to do anything. And I mean anything. I basically laid on the couch while they took care of Brekan, cooked meals, did my dishes, washed my laundry. It was pathetic and so sad.

Brek was so sad to have them go. He LOVED having them here and smothered them with kisses whenever they asked for them, and even sometimes when they didn't. Hopefully they'll come back soon!

2 months late...

Now that our baby boy is 14 months old, I should probably post about his 1st birthday! What a bad mom. It was the most lame birthday in the history of birthdays. Seriously. I still feel a little guilty. I had big plans for a great themed cake and cupcakes...but then we were all sick...and it seems like we were sick off and on for a month and a half:( BLAH. All I can say is it was amazing he even got a cupcake at all. He opened a big box of presents from Grandma and Grandpa Pope on his actual birthday. That was the extent of it. 

 Then a week and a half later, we had cupcakes that were actually really really good!

Brek loved having a cupcake all to himself with no restrictions from mom about getting messy:) 

 Then he got a couple more presents. 

 I can't believe this little baby is now 14 months old. 

He is SO much fun! We just fall more in love with him everyday.

Catching up

When we moved in Arkansas in late August, we decided to rent a furnished apartment and put practically everything we own in storage. I'm not sure why we didn't bring things like dishes with us to the apartment. Maybe because we thought we'd be in a house within a couple months? That didn't happen:) Since everything was stored in large storage crates, we couldn't access any of our belongings. So in January we moved it all to a self-storage unit. We had literally been eating off of paper plates and plastic cutlery for over 4 months. It was momentous to finally eat cereal out of a real bowl. Seriously people, it was getting a little ridiculous.

Anyhow, here are the unpacking pictures. Most of our stuff is still in storage, but someday soon we will be able to sleep in our own bed!
