After realizing how many pictures I had from our trip to Utah, I decided to split our trip up into different days for each post.
The day we flew out to Utah Brian and I knew that Brekan didn't feel well and that he was running a fever but we just thought he was teething. So we gave him medicine throughout the day, but he pretty much just slept in our arms at the airport, on the plane, and on the car ride to my brothers house (which was bad because he was sick, but so nice to have a sleepy baby to travel with). By the time we finally got there we took his temperature and it was at 105. We were freaking out a little and of course when we tried to give him medicine he threw it all up. So my Dad rushed to the store to get different medicine while we gave our screaming boy a cool bath. The bath helped lower his temperature a bit and then we got some medicine in him and he went right to bed.
Needless to say, that entire night was pretty horrible and so the next day we had to skip out on all the fun activities with the family at Seven Peaks.
Thursday was the 4th of July. Brian and I woke up early and hiked Y mountain with my 2 brothers and sister in law. There were a ton of people out there at 6:00 am, but we continued our hike past the Y and then we were the only ones on the trail.

Later that day Brekan, grandma and I stayed home to rest while everyone else went to the dinosaur museum.
The kids LOVED digging up dinosaur bones:)
And luckily since the fireworks were so late, we put Brekan to bed and were able to go enjoy all the festivities. (Thanks to a grandpa who stayed home with the kiddos!)
We watched the paratroopers jump out of a airplane and land in the BYU stadium with the American Flag.
And we found seats outside the stadium where we watched the entire "Stadium of Fire" performance on the mega-tron.

And right when the fireworks were starting the sprinklers went off on us so we moved locations and sat right under the fireworks!
We had a great Independence Day! Just wish our baby wasn't so sick so he could have enjoyed it with us.
