This is the start of our first ever garden! Nothing has come up yet but it is all planted at least. We planted lettuce, cabbage, peapods, cucumbers, carrots, peppers, squash, zuchini, tomotoes, beets, eggplant, and a couple watermelon.
There are two families in our ward who have donated the land and the water to us so we can have this garden. We are so happy that they would share this with us and we cant wait to see things start growing!!
We put 8 bags of manure on our garden before we started planting just to give our seeds lots of nutrients. Then after it was all planted we went back for one more bag of manure to sprinkle on top of it all. It was the ronchiest smelling manure i have ever smelt. It was so bad and we could smell it on our hands the rest of the day. Yuck!!! That stuff better make our plants grow.
